Jaguars edge Browns, 24-20

The Jacksonville Jaguars moved into first place in the AFC South with a 24-20 win over the Cleveland Browns.

It was the second straight week where the Jaguars were able to overcome a late deficit and pull out a win.

The Jaguars were able to overcome three interceptions from quarterback David Garrard, who had been playing so well of late.

Jaguars get miracle in win over Texans, 31-24

The Jacksonville Jaguars won on the final play of the game, gaining a 31-24 victory over the Houston Texans.

With the game tied, the Jaguars tossed a hail mary into the end zone. It was batted down by a Houston defender right to Mike Thomas, who caught it and took two steps into the end zone as time expired.

The catch left nearby Houston defenders stunned and motionless while Jaguars fans and players went crazy.

Quarterback David Garrard turned in another brilliant performance, throwing for 342 yards and two touchdowns. ( Read More…)

Jaguars embarass Cowboys, 35-17

The Jacksonville Jaguars put together a strong offensive effort in a 35-17 pasting of the Dallas Cowboys.

Quarterback David Garrard threw for 260 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in his first game back from injury.

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 135 yards as the Jaguars accumulated more than 400 yards of total offense.

Defensively, they intercepted four Jon Kitna passes, although they did surrender nearly 400 yards through the air. ( Read More…)

Jaguars fall to Chiefs, 42-20

The Jacksonville Jaguars hung tough for a half before falling apart in a 42-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jacksonville’s defense simply had no answer for Kansas City’s diverse ground game, failing to stop Thomas Jones or Jamaal Charles.

Quarterback Todd Bouman, filling in for the injured David Garrard, played well in the first half but struggled coming out of the locker room.

He threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown in the third quarter to help break the game open. ( Read More…)
