Jaguars crushed by Eagles, 28-3

The Jacksonville Jaguars followed up last week’s effort with an equally awful performance in a 28-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jaguars get past Broncos, 24-17

The Jacksonville Jaguars weather a lightning delay to hold off the Denver Broncos for a 24-17 victory.

Quarterback David Garrard looked very solid, throwing for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns.

The Jaguars will need more effective performances like that out of Garrard if they want to be a playoff contender.

After such a poor 2009 season, the Jaguars have to feel good about starting this year with a win.

It also has to feel good that the Houston Texans knocked off the Indianapolis Colts, giving the Jaguars at least a week to look down at their division rival.
